The rain finally broke...

So we got our gear and headed outdoors for some puddle stomping.




But this wasn't exactly what the girls had in mind... so we kept on.

My baby Greta is tall, plain and simple. And her feet might be clowny.



And one of her new favorite words is "backpack." She loves them, and we love watching her try to walk around with it on.




And for those unaware, Giant Eagle sells perfectly delicious strawberries the size of baking potatoes. I'm still unsure how I really feel about it.

First Spring Hike

Finally, the Freunds were hiking out back for the first time this spring. A novelty for Greta, as I'm sure she barely remembers us bumping her down the dirt path in a stroller last summer. Soon, I'm sure, she will know it as Lucy does, our after dinner evening ritual.

Greta, extremely pleased to be out and running away from home, would tell you she felt "happy dappy" if you asked her about her night. She really would. Lucy found some rocks that she tucked carefully into her coat pocket and said she had "important work to do with them later, a job." They are currently adding to the clutter on my kitchen table.
